This South African batsman scored 490 in a one-day cricket game

1. A 20-year-old South African batsman, Shane Dadswell, smashed 490 runs for his club NWU Pukke against Potch Dorp 1st in a 50-overs club game at the Wiltrand Oval at Potchefstroom, South Africa.

2. A product of Johannesburg’s King Edward the Seventh School, which has also produced the likes of Graeme Smith, Dadswell is known for his big-hitting prowess and had played quickfire knocks for his school.

3. Three years back, in 2014, S Sankruth Sriram had hammered 486 for JSS International School against Hebron School in the Nilgiris DCA U-16 inter-school one-day tournament at Ooty, India.
